David Finch is a 27-year veteran of the food industry. He has managed both corporate and entrepreneurial work environments in CPG and food-related companies.   For the past 10 years, David has been an investor/CEO/Board Member in two private equity-backed companies, as well as serving on a number of food company boards and investing in smaller food company start-ups.  

David’s career started at Hormel Foods where he served in a number of sales and marketing roles (5 years), then onto Johnsonville Sausage were he rose from the marketing ranks to the position of Group VP (11 years). 

In 2008, David partnered with Wind Point Partners out of Chicago to acquire Ryt-way Industries in Lakeville, MN, where he was the CEO.  After five add-on acquisitions, Ryt-way was merged with Hearthside Foods Solutions, which then sold in 2014 to Vestar/Goldman Sachs.   Currently a member/investor in Jonnypops LLC, David also serves on the board of Duluth Trading Company (Public) and acts as Vice President and Board Member of the American Polocrosse Association.    David has a B.S. from Northwestern University and an MBA from The Kellogg School.
